Staff: Josiel Perez-Hernandez

Josiel Perez-Hernandez is currently working on his Ph.D. in Music Education at Arizona State University. Prior, he earned two Master’s Degrees – Film Scoring and Master of Arts in Teaching. In 2010, he was awarded with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana, Cuba. Since 2007, he has been a professional musician touring in Europe, The Caribbean, Asia, The U.S., and Canada and also performing in Jazz and world music festivals. Additionally, he was part of the cast for the movie CHEF 2015 and in 2017 he received a Certificate of Appreciation from The City of Los Angeles. Josiel Perez-Hernandez lives in Phoenix and has been serving as an adjunct faculty at Paradise Community College since 2017. In the future, he would like to help more immigrant communities to achieve their dreams.
