    Fill out the short enrollment application on this page. It only takes a few minutes.

    Send in your documents

    The front office follows up for transcripts, proof of Arizona residency, and immunization records.

    Take the placement tests

    Incoming freshmen complete a short Reading and Math check on the Highland Prep West campus.

    Register for classes

    Pick your courses with a counselor and lock in your seat for the fall.

Is Highland Prep West free?

Yes. It is a tuition-free public charter school open to all Arizona residents.

What grades can apply?

Highland Prep West serves grades 9 through 12.

Can transfer students apply?

Yes. Students transferring from another school are welcome in grades 9 through 12. Start with the form on this page, and the front office will help move transcripts and credits over.

What documents do I need?

Proof of Arizona residency form and a supporting residency document, the Military Service Indicator form, and, within 30 days of enrollment submission, a certified copy of the student's birth certificate or other reliable proof of the student's identity as allowed by ARS 15-872. The front office will contact you if any additional documents are necessary after a timely and complete enrollment application has been received.

Is there a deadline or a lottery?

If applications exceed available seats, enrollment is determined by a random lottery as required by Arizona charter law. Submitting early is encouraged. The front office will confirm dates with you.

What happens after I submit?

The front office follows up within one school day to walk you through the enrollment packet, placement testing, and course registration.
